Blood is not Water, 2018

Performative work made from the outset of a series of recorded conversations betweeen the artist and her father during a trip to New York and the memories this trip evokes. The work consists of two parts: the first part a series of fifteen short scenes combinig video, sound and physical performance with props extended into the space in front of the projection and the second part a physical act where the artist is seated in front of a grindstone moving her body in a repetitive circular motion, rubbing stone against stone.
